We provide the flexible packaging industry with a specialised and advanced training, in response to the needs of the sector in order to enhance its competitiveness. We have over ten years of experience in the sector and more than 2000 trained professionals.

Advanced Sessions and Programmed Technical Courses

With a theoretical-practical combination, we offer advanced level technical courses which encompass the majority of sector processes: pre-printing and printing, laminating, slitting and rewinding, machine maintenance, control of productivity, and others. We have first-class specialists and collaborate with the leading experts of the sector.

The advanced sessions and programmed technical courses are annually organized in various languages and they are held on the Comexi CTec premises. The duration of the courses is two to four days, thus allowing time to share experiences with other professionals of the sector.

All technical courses are credited with a specialised course diploma, which is granted by the Foundation of the Universidad de Girona.

Personalised Training in Machine Operation and Production

Resulting from the fleet of machines available at Comexi CTec, we are able to offer, through combining theoretical and practical knowledge of machine use, a wide range of training options in the areas of flexo printing, offset printing, laminating, slitting and rewinding, laser slitting, productivity, and digital process adaptations (industria 4.0). Our objective is, once training has been completed, the operators will be able to autonomously perform the operations alone.

A training program tailored to your needs

At Comexi CTec we design tailor-made training to be given at the client’s own facilities.

We analyze the needs and, once the objectives and content have been established, we organize a detailed training plan. Our experts travel to the client’s facilities to provide a service fully adapted to the technologies and processes.

We also have the possibility of carrying out part of the training virtually, combining it with face-to-face training.

Vocacional dual training in printing and converting.

In view of the need to qualify people within the professional field of printing and converting flexible packaging, which guarantees operational competence in technological printing systems, the Generalitat of Catalonia implemented a new training cycle. The Technician in Graphic Printing and Converting, with the cooperation of Comexi (academic year 2013-2014).

As a contribution to this project, Comexi CTec provides its 2200 sqm. demo centre, which is equipped with the latest technology, in turn, giving the technical knowledge it has acquired in the flexible packaging sector.

The cycle includes 2000 hours of class, distributed over two academic years and is taught in a DUAL module, the combination of classes at the Instituto Santa Eugènia de Girona and on the premises of Comexi CTec. Additionally, the training course is taught in a dual module on the premises of printing press and/or converter companies that want to participate in the project.

We train professionals in various printing systems (offset, flexography, digital and pad printing), as well as in laminating and slitting processes.

Furthermore, Comexi CTec has agreements and joint projects with several universities, educational centres, and technological centres. It also partakes in various educational programs like professional training, as well as university undergraduate, postgraduate and master degrees.
