was a charismatic businessman, who knew how to motivate and thrill his business partners, and to build a real sense of belonging to a community, the community of the flexible packaging. He also knew the importance of working jointly to increase the sector’s technological level. As part of his legacy, we are left with this collective spirit of collaboration and knowledge exchange for the good of the sector which he knew how to transfer to the professionals who knew him. This is the reason why the CTec bears his name.

Manel Xifra i Boada founds Comexi. In a very short time, Comexi grew from a small workshop that provided services to the paper industry to a big company.
Then, it began a long history of leadership in flexible packaging with two well defined characteristics:

For this reason, the Comexi CTec (Manel Xifra i Boada Technology Center) was founded

Comexi Group created the Manel Xifra & Boada Awards to recognize engineering as a diffused, consolidated and distinct profession. They are established in 3 categories: Best Professional Career, Transmission of Scientific and Technical Knowledge, and the Best Final University Project acknowledgment given by the Polytechnic Superior School of the UdG.
